This role is based in South Africa and supports UK tax clients and UK tax processes remotely.

Your role in the Revolution

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and act as a day-to-day point of contact for personal and business tax matters.
  • Prepare and review personal tax returns, partnership tax returns and corporation tax returns as required.
  • Ensure tax compliance work is completed accurately and submitted within deadlines.
  • Support the delivery of tax advisory work across a range of client issues and planning matters.
  • Work closely with Managers and Directors on more complex tax projects, queries and technical matters.
  • Liaise directly with clients remotely to obtain information, resolve queries and provide practical tax support.
  • Review tax computations, returns and supporting schedules to ensure technical accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain accurate working papers and ensure files are prepared to a high standard for review.
  • Monitor client deadlines, manage workflow and ensure work is progressed efficiently across the portfolio.
  • Support junior team members with guidance, review points and technical input where appropriate.
  • Keep up to date with current UK tax legislation and changes affecting clients and the practice.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, client service and wider tax support across the firm.
  • Build strong client relationships through responsive communication and a high standard of delivery in a remote setting.

Expertise you bring

  • Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice or tax role, ideally at Tax Senior, Mixed Tax Senior, Personal Tax Senior or Corporate Tax Senior level.
  • Strong experience in UK personal tax and/or mixed tax compliance within practice.
  • Good working knowledge of UK personal tax, corporation tax and partnership tax.
  • Exposure to UK tax advisory or planning work would be beneficial.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients and dealing with client queries confidently.
  • Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail across tax returns, computations and compliance work.
  • Experience reviewing work and supporting junior staff would be advantageous.
  • ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA(SA) or equivalent qualification would be relevant depending on the level of the role.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients remotely.
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced practice environment.
  • Confident using tax software, practice systems and digital document workflows.
  • Able to work independently and maintain a high standard of delivery within a remote working model.

  • Working hours: 10:00 to 18:30 SA Time
  • Annual leave: 20 days
  • Public holidays: 12 public holidays across UK and SA
