This role is based in South Africa and supports UK audit assignments remotely using digital records, cloud systems and collaborative workflows.

Your role in the Revolution

  • Lead audit assignments remotely from planning through to completion where the engagement can be delivered using digital records and remote communication.
  • Prepare audit planning documentation, risk assessments, materiality calculations and audit programmes.
  • Complete audit testing, analytical review and file preparation using client records provided electronically.
  • Review financial information, supporting schedules and digital evidence to assess accuracy, completeness and audit risk.
  • Ensure audit files are complete, well organised and prepared to a high standard for Manager or Partner review.
  • Liaise with clients remotely to request information, clear audit queries and discuss progress against deadlines.
  • Draft audit findings, completion points, management letter points and supporting documentation for final review.
  • Review the work of junior team members and provide guidance, feedback and day-to-day support.
  • Monitor assignment progress and raise technical or client issues to the relevant Manager or Partner in a timely manner.
  • Ensure work is completed in line with firm procedures, audit methodology and regulatory requirements.
  • Support remote team collaboration through clear communication, timely updates and effective handover of work.
  • Contribute to efficient audit delivery by identifying issues early and helping keep assignments on track.

Expertise you bring

  • Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice audit role, ideally at Audit Senior or equivalent level.
  • Strong experience leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
  • Good knowledge of UK audit standards, International Standards on Auditing (UK) and accounts preparation.
  • Confident working with digital audit files, cloud-based systems and electronic client records.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to review evidence critically and accurately.
  • Experience supervising or reviewing the work of junior staff would be beneficial.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines remotely.
  • Confident communicator who can manage client contact professionally by phone, email and video call.
  • ACA, ACCA, CA(SA) or equivalent qualification would be advantageous, although part-qualified, finalist and QBE candidates may also be considered depending on experience.
  • Able to work independently, use initiative and maintain high standards within a remote working environment.

  • Working hours: 10:00 to 18:30 SA Time
  • Annual leave: 20 days
  • Public holidays: 12 public holidays across UK and SA
