This role is based in South Africa and supports a UK business remotely. You’ll work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to produce high-quality reporting, support planning and improve visibility across performance.

Your role in the Revolution
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports accurately and on time.
- Lead the month-end process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Produce variance analysis and clear commentary to explain financial performance.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong control over key accounts.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning processes.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and provide visibility over short-term and medium-term cash requirements.
- Partner with budget holders and internal stakeholders to support decision-making and financial performance.
- Monitor costs and identify areas for improved financial control and efficiency.
- Support year-end processes and liaise with external auditors where required.
- Ensure reporting deadlines are met across month-end, group reporting and internal finance timetables.
- Maintain and improve finance processes, controls and ways of working within a remote environment.
- Use accounting systems and Excel effectively to manage reporting, analysis and data accuracy.
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc analysis, reporting and commercial insight.
- Identify opportunities for automation, simplification and continuous improvement across finance operations.
Expertise you bring
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant, Finance Analyst, Assistant Finance Manager or similar role.
- Strong experience preparing monthly management accounts and supporting month-end close.
- Good working knowledge of accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, journals and financial reporting.
- Experience producing budgets, forecasts, variance analysis and management information.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using accounting and reporting systems.
- Good commercial awareness and the ability to explain numbers clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience working with budget holders or wider operational teams would be beneficial.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA(SA) or equivalent qualification would be relevant depending on the level of the role, although part-qualified, finalist and QBE candidates may also be considered.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to deadlines.
- Organised, proactive and able to manage workload effectively in a remote working environment.
- Experience improving finance processes, controls or reporting would be advantageous.
