This role is based in South Africa and supports a portfolio of UK clients remotely across accounts, tax and wider practice matters.

Your role in the Revolution

  • Manage a portfolio of clients remotely and act as a main point of contact for accounts, tax and general business queries.
  • Build strong client relationships through regular communication, proactive support and a high standard of service.
  • Review year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, VAT returns and related compliance work.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in line with relevant UK accounting standards.
  • Oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations and management accounts where required.
  • Review work prepared by junior team members and provide support, feedback and development guidance.
  • Ensure client deadlines are met and that work is completed accurately and in line with internal procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and overall client experience.
  • Support clients with cloud accounting systems and help maintain accurate digital records.
  • Work closely with senior leadership on more complex client matters, escalations and advisory opportunities.
  • Identify additional services or opportunities within the client portfolio and refer them appropriately within the practice.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of each client’s business, priorities and service requirements.

Expertise you bring

  • Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice in a Client Manager, Senior Accountant, Accounts Manager or similar role.
  • Strong experience managing a client portfolio within practice.
  • Good technical knowledge across statutory accounts, corporation tax, personal tax, VAT and bookkeeping.
  • Confident reviewing the work of others and supporting junior staff development.
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills, with the ability to manage queries confidently in a remote setting.
  • Experience using cloud accounting software and other practice systems.
  • Strong understanding of UK accounting standards and compliance deadlines.
  • ACA, ACCA, CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification would often be preferred, although strong AAT-qualified or QBE candidates may also be considered.
  • Commercially aware, proactive and solutions-focused in approach.
  • Able to manage deadlines, prioritise workload and work effectively without close supervision in a remote environment.

  • Working hours: 10:00 to 18:30 SA Time
  • Annual leave: 20 days
  • Public holidays: 12 public holidays across UK and SA
