This role is based in South Africa and supports UK audit clients remotely through digital systems and collaborative workflows.

Your role in the Revolution
- Manage a portfolio of audit clients remotely and act as the main point of contact for day-to-day audit matters.
- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion where the work can be delivered remotely using digital records and remote communication.
- Prepare and review audit planning documentation, risk assessments, materiality calculations and audit programmes.
- Oversee audit fieldwork, file preparation, analytical review and completion work.
- Review audit files and working papers to ensure quality, accuracy and compliance with firm procedures and regulatory standards.
- Manage assignment budgets, timelines and workflow to ensure audits are delivered efficiently and within deadlines.
- Liaise with clients remotely to request information, resolve queries and provide regular progress updates.
- Review draft financial statements and supporting schedules in conjunction with the audit process.
- Identify technical issues, completion points and matters requiring escalation to Partner level.
- Prepare or review audit findings, management letter points and closing documentation.
- Lead, supervise and develop junior team members, including review of work, coaching and day-to-day support.
- Support consistent delivery across the audit team through clear communication, planning and effective allocation of work.
- Contribute to process improvement, audit quality and the wider development of the firm’s audit service line.
Expertise you bring
- Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice audit role, ideally at Audit Manager, Assistant Audit Manager or equivalent level.
- Strong experience managing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Good knowledge of UK audit standards, accounting standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing a client portfolio and building strong professional client relationships.
- Strong file review skills and the ability to identify risks, technical issues and areas requiring further work.
- Experience supervising, reviewing and developing junior staff.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a remote environment.
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage client contact effectively by phone, email and video call.
- ACA, ACCA, CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification would typically be preferred.
- Comfortable using digital audit files, cloud systems and electronic client records.
- Proactive, organised and able to work independently while maintaining high standards of quality and delivery.
