This role is based in South Africa and supports a UK business remotely.

Your role in the Revolution
- Lead the day-to-day finance function within a remote working environment.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports accurately and on time.
- Manage the month-end process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting processes across the business.
- Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts, providing clear visibility over current and future cash requirements.
- Produce variance analysis and clear financial commentary to support decision-making.
- Maintain strong financial controls, processes and policies across the finance function.
- Partner with department heads and senior stakeholders to support financial understanding, performance and accountability.
- Monitor costs, identify risks and highlight areas for improved efficiency and control.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy across key financial records.
- Support year-end processes, audit preparation and liaison with external accountants or auditors.
- Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE and other statutory or regulatory reporting requirements where applicable.
- Manage and develop members of the finance team, setting priorities and supporting performance.
- Drive improvements in finance systems, reporting, automation and ways of working.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and commercial insight to support operational and strategic decisions.
Expertise you bring
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Senior Management Accountant, Financial Controller or similar role.
- Strong experience preparing management accounts and leading month-end close.
- Good working knowledge of accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, journals and financial reporting.
- Experience leading budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance and finance processes.
- Experience business partnering with non-finance stakeholders and presenting financial information clearly.
- Experience managing or supervising finance team members would be beneficial.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence using accounting and reporting systems.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification would be relevant depending on the level of the role, although strong QBE candidates may also be considered.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately to deadlines.
- Commercially aware, proactive and able to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Able to work independently and effectively within a remote working model.
